About Me

Michelle Alexandria Rincón, MA APCC 10000 She/Her/Hers

Hello there! I'm so happy that you're here!  Thank you for taking the time to read and learn a little bit about me. All good therapy work is heavily dependent on the connection you have with your therapist, so it’s important that I share with you about myself.

I am an Associate Professional Clinical Counselor (APCC #10000) practicing therapy in the greater Los Angeles area. I am a proud bilingual (Spanish) and multicultural therapist (Mexican and Salvadoran), who grew up in Southern California.  Before I even knew I could make a profession out of it, I have always been fascinated by the human psyche. The idea that my thoughts and interpretations of the world were exclusively my own, ignited in me a passion for understanding—understanding myself, others, and myself in relation to others. When I am not in session, you can find me tending to my plants, painting, or playing with my pup, Siggy, named after the great Sigmund Freud.

I have worked with children, adolescents and adults who have been impacted by a variety of mental health issues, including but not limited to, anxiety, stress, depression, trauma, perfectionism, self-esteem, and showing up as their most authentic self. I have received training in Mindfulness-Based techniques; challenging negative thoughts/beliefs (Cognitive Behavioral Therapy/CBT); the exploration of the unconscious mind/childhood trauma/wounds (Psychoanalysis); and the Rogerian technique which withdraws emphasis on dysfunction and instead targets productive, adaptive, and beneficial traits and behaviors of an individual in treatment (Person-Centered Therapy).

I believe my clients have everything they need, and I'm here to serve as a mirror to remind them of that.  Together, we will gain a more nuanced understanding of who you are, and new tools for nurturing your whole self. If my holistic, nonjudgmental, and collaborative approach resonates with you, I hope you reach out. I would be honored to join and witness you on this healing journey.
